3. Job Duties / Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Lead daily operations for port and rail drayage, dispatch, fleet utilization, and terminal/yard activities.
- Oversee off-site yards, container storage, and asset management to ensure high equipment availability.
- Monitor and coordinate administrative, sales, and service functions across multiple departments.
- Develop and refine dispatch and routing processes to maximize operational efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance Leadership
- Serve as the senior-most safety advocate, ensuring full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
- Implement safety-first culture across operations through training, monitoring, and incident prevention.
- Conduct risk assessments and pre-task planning in coordination with Operation and Safety managers.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as escalation point for high-priority accounts and service disruptions.
- Build long-term relationships with shippers, brokers, and freight forwarders to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure all customer commitments and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded.
- Process Improvement & KPI Oversight
- Identify, recommend, and implement technologies and process improvements across dispatch and fleet operations.
- Establish and track KPIs for on-time performance, equipment utilization, empty miles, and driver productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data to drive decision-making and process efficiency.
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Own the full P&L for operations, including cost control, lane profitability, and overhead management.
- Work closely with the CFO to develop pricing strategies and quoting tools for customer bids.
- Support strategic initiatives including facility expansions, system integrations, and scalability efforts.
- Partner with the CEO in sales strategy, margin protection, and long-term business planning.
- Carrier & Vendor Management
- Establish and manage strong relationships with subcontracted carriers, drayage providers, and yard vendors.
- Negotiate service contracts, rate structures, and carrier commitments to align with operational and financial targets.
- Oversee shuttle fleet and intermodal carrier performance and service standards.
- Reporting & Communication
- Deliver comprehensive performance updates, financial reports, and forecasts to senior leadership.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across all departments, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
• 15+ years of direct operational experience in transportation or drayage logistics
• 10+ years of team management and cross-departmental leadership
• In-depth understanding of drayage operations, containerized freight, and yard logistics

5. Salary: 120K~150K Yearly, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
