Quality Assurance Specialist (Montgomery AL)

3. Job Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the quality Statistical analysis,
  • planning, execution, and reporting of inspection and test results on all products.
  • Conduct the quality investigation and prepare the Root Cause Analysis report for the
  • failures, A Quality Assurance Specialist will be able to be given direction and work
  • independently, providing updates to his/her manager on a timely basis. A Quality
  • Assurance Specialist is expected to have basic knowledge of power transformer
  • manufacturing, inspection process, and general quality assurance tools and will be able to assist with other tasks as needed. In addition, He/she will assist in developing processes and procedures related to product development. A Quality Assurance
  • Specialist receives work direction from a QA Team leader or higher position.

 

CORE EXPECATIONS

  • Report issues found in process, tracking system, describing steps to recreate the issue
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop and maintain KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and supporting data collection systems.
  • Creates, maintains, and follow all related paperwork/ERP system for each unit during the process (QIR, NCM, NCR, EAGLE EYE, WEEKLY REPORT, etc.).
  • Organize and participate in technical meeting such as DRM, customer audits… etc. and to attend all audits and inspections with customer representatives.
  • Prepare daily QA/QC report regarding inspections, material, Non conformances etc.
  • Prepare weekly surveillance reports, non-conformance reports and verification of corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out as per the approved method statements and drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple calibration service with service providers
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to read and understand Blueprints Well organized, with a strong emphasis on attention to details.
  • Assist / coordinate the preparation of the final handing over documents such as NCR, NCM, and other QM activities such as TFT, Quality meetings documents, QIR reports etc.
  • Assist / coordinate equipment calibration process.
  • To manage the quality Task Force Team as it instructs by quality manager
  • To conduct required training to other dept.’s regarding the QA process.
  • Coordinate Training plan and monitor the effectiveness of training.
  • To monitor and measure Quality objective and KPIs,
  • Good troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills.
  • Be able to create inspection, work and tests procedure standards from minimal documentation and customer specifications.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team
  • members, senior support personnel, high level personnel and customers
  • Familiar with a product or projects schedule and what is required at each process as quality hold points.
  • Be able to question production and quality performance and cleaning behavior
  • Good understanding of QA, inspection, RCA and defect management process.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
  • Good understanding about Lean manufacturing, Six-Sigma, 5S, Quality Failure Costs
  • Analysis, Documents Control, Data Analysis & Internal/External Audit
  • Able to help define system and user requirements through asking questions or following standards.
  • Ability to adapt to change in direction quickly
  • Knowledge and ability to use the quality tools to perform, monitor the tasks
  • Other core competencies will be defined by your direct supervisor/manager

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

 Education
  • Bachelor degree with at least 0~2 years of experience in the field of manufacturing and/or quality management.
  • Background in quality control and/or manufacturing industries.
  • Certified six-sigma green belt preferred.
  • CQA preferred.
  • Engineering major preferred.

 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  •  Report to a QA Lead or management level
  •  Work closely with engineers, shop supervisors, sales and purchasing team and other employees and departments within the company
  • Position may require domestic or international travel.
  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekend and holidays as required
  • OT required as needed
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and walk for many hours ongoing as shift

4. Job Type: Full-time

5. Salary: 50K ~ 60K
